Baby On Board
Yes!!!
Yehaa!!!

It’s official! There’s going to be a little Mellon amongst us! I’m so thrilled, I can barely think straight! Little Abram, or Alkanet, will be with us before long! It wasn’t stomach flu!
I must calm down.
No nightmares in a long time, and a little one on the way, yes, life is really good right now! Marissa doesn’t seem all that worried about missing all that work, although she says she’ll be going straight back after the baby is born, which means that we’ll have to hire a nanny, but that’s a little way off yet.
I’m a little uneasy about that actually.
One does hear so many horror stories about nannies that I don’t think I’d feel safe leaving our little one with someone like that. Marissa keeps telling me not to worry, but I can’t help it.

We’ve just started redecorating the spare bedroom for use as a nursery, and both Marissa and I are very happy with the way it’s turning out. We had a rather silly, but brief, tiff over the wallpaper, before settling on a neutral color, which, although it’s rather dull, put an end to our argument.
The booties that Mother knitted arrived yesterday, all three pairs, one pair bright orange, one pair bright pink, and the other bright blue. They were all very nice, except our baby will look a bit, erm, odd, wearing them, of you get my meaning. Still, it’s the thought that counts, isn’t it?

I just can’t resist having a little chat with my son or daughter, and Marissa jokes that my monolouges will scar the poor little thing for life. At least, I think she’s joking.
(Katie, a friend of mine introduced me to Redwall late last year. I was a little wary at first, talking animals aren’t my cup of tea, but I got hooked pretty quick! I haven’t read all of them yet, but Legend of Luke is my favourite! As for all the ‘A’s, well, I dunno, really, just a change!)
