Toddlers Coming Out My Ears

Well, things haven’t been too chaotic around here today, considering the circumstances! Good thing, too, because my nigtmares have come back with a vengeance, and I seem to see the little dead boy everywhere I look. Is he trying to tell me something? How could anyone kill a child? Maybe I’ve just been working too hard, but this is really starting to get to me.
Anyway, enough about that.
Alkanet has been really enjoying school, and she always heads to the bus with a smile on her face.
She’s made a lot of new friends, and even has a crush on a little boy in her class! Don’t let on that I told you, though, she’s sworn me to secrecy!
She brought her little friend Marsha home from school today, but Marsha only stayed for an hour or so before her mother came to pick her up. Marissa did invite them to the twins’ birthday party, but they couldn’t stay. In a way, I was quite relieved!
I was hoping I’d be able to get home from work early, but that was just wishful thinking, everyone seemed to be having some sort of crisis that needed sorted out! It didn’t help that everyone at work kept giving me odd looks all day. Yes, I know I look tired, and more than a little harried, but did every rotten one of my coworkers have to keep staring at me like I was some kind of freak?!? Friggin’ idiots, the whole rotten bunch! That really put a dampner on my day.
Marissa didn’t help matters by accusing me of being late for the birthday party, but it wasn’t my fault!
So now there’s two yowling toddlers in the house. Wonderful.
